Warren Grove Range, New Jersey

The Warren Grove Range is a target area used for bombing, strafing, air drops, and other tactical air-to-ground training, with around 3,000 sorties per year, conducted during both day and night. The range has a simulated airfield, one circular target, 400 feet across, vehicle targets, and target building compounds made out of shipping containers. It is located in the pine lands of southern New Jersey, north of Atlantic City, and started out as a WWII weapons research site, becoming a National Guard facility in the early 1960s. Management is based out of McGuire Air Force Base.
