Washington International Gateway Teleport, Virginia

Washington International Gateway was one of the largest commercial teleports in the DC area, but it has shrunk in recent years, and now has one central facility, with a half dozen or so large dishes. It is operated by Luxembourg-based SES, one of the largest satellite communication companies in the world. SES does a lot of work with the US government. Their Government Solutions division, based in McLean, Virginia, operates earth stations for the government at air force bases that include Offutt, Schriever, New Boston, and Thule, Greenland.
