The Waterford Nuclear Power Plant is located in the Mississippi River, 15 miles upstream from New Orleans. It has a single pressurized water reactor, whose output capacity is 1,159MW. The plant's operating license was issued in 1985, and it is owned and operated by Entergy Louisiana, Inc.
