Willow Springs International Raceway, California
Image
Willow Springs International Raceway has been in continuous operation since its opening in 1953, making it one of the oldest road courses in the United States. Car companies, racing teams, and individuals test and develop vehicles using the 2.5-mile long, nine-turn high speed loop, called "The Fastest Road in the West." People can bring their own street cars here and drive as fast as they like. Willow Springs International Raceway is part of a larger complex known as the Willow Springs International Motorsports Park, which is comprised of seven additional racetracks (e.g. Horse Thief Mile and The Streets of Willow Springs), of varying lengths, configurations, and surfaces.
