World’s Second Largest Walleye Fish, North Dakota
A 26 foot-long fiberglass walleye fish with a sign on the main drag in the town of Garrison asserts this town, which also has the North Dakota Fishing Hall of Fame, is the “Walleye Capital of the World.” Apparently at least eight other towns, from Oregon to Ohio, also make this claim, including another town named Garrison, in Minnesota, though its fiberglass Walleye monument is only 15 feet long. The Walleye statue at the Walleye Capital of the World in Baudette, Minnesota, is 40 feet long, likely the largest Walleye anywhere.
