Newton Falls Dam

The Oswegatchie River, which originates in the wilderness of William Seward Webb’s Nehasane Park (once a private 180,000-acre park within Adirondack Park), flows north for 137 miles, before meeting the St. Lawrence. Along the way it passes through several timber flowages and hydro dams, including this one, the second dam at Newton Falls, followed by four more dams, before leaving the park.
