The Wild Center, at Tupper Lake, is a state-of-the-art natural history and science museum focusing on the environment of the Adirondacks, which opened in 2006. The museum functions primarily as a public education facility, with live animals, sky walks, kinetic video-based installations, and a pond. Its displays and trails were designed by Charles Reay, a noted institutional museum and nature center designer.
