The mirrored set of buildings at 11405-11411 Venice Boulevard was constructed in 1955, and photographed in 1962, when they were listed for sale as a pair. Each building had four fully furnished apartments (that rented for around $85/month, a typical amount at the time), facing a landscaped common patio area in the space between the buildings. Both structures were demolished in 2016, in order to construct a larger, high-density apartment building. Though a basement foundation pit was dug, and a back retaining wall made, further construction has been stalled since 2017.
