This block of Venice Boulevard is replete with a row of 11 similar apartment structures, each primarily accessed from the back alley, where parking spaces are provided under the second story, in the dingbat style. Known as the Mar Vista Apartment Complex, and constructed on the McLaughlin-Butler Tract (between McLaughlin and Butler Avenues) in 1957, each building has seven units (and four parking spaces). All of them remain in a similar state today.
