There were many single-family and duplex homes like this built along Venice Boulevard in the 1950s, in the minimal traditional style, and selling for less than $20,000. Though they look small from the front, they often fill most of the typical 25-foot by 100-foot lot, with a garage in back, typically accessed by a back alley. This house, across the street from Venice High School, appears not to have changed very much, and even has a similar aluminum awning above the front door. The windows have been replaced, changed from the old vertically opening sash type, to metal framed horizontal sliders, and the horizontal bands on the façade have been stuccoed over. It is a duplex, with two addresses, 13069 and 13067 Venice Boulevard, with access to the back unit on the left side.
