The HX Drawbridge spans the river at the Harmon Cove condominiums, providing an industrial pastoral vista. It is a bascule drawbridge, lifting a counterbalanced span on a hinge. The bridge was built in 1911, and designed by Joseph Strauss, the chief engineer of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge.
