Antelope Lake

Antelope Lake is part of an impact area at the north end of the Air Force’s Nellis Range in Nevada. It is the only named part of a chain of playas at Cactus Flat, which is part of the Tonopah Test Range, operated by Sandia Labs, the nation’s nuclear weapons designer and builder, based in Albuquerque. A radioactive area near the north end of the lake is left over from a nuclear weapons accident test.
