Ericksen is a small and relatively remote dry lake that is impacted mostly by off-highway vehicle recreationists, as it is in the popular Ord Mountain Route Network of OHV trails, serviced by the Slash X Café, a famous dirt biker hangout and point of entry into the region’s vast OHV trail system.
