Rosamond is a dry lake bed on Edwards Air Force Base. Though much smaller than Rogers, it also has marked runways on its surface. At its southwestern edge is a wetland known as the Paiute Ponds, next to the city of Lancaster’s sewage plant, as Rosamond is the terminal lake for Amargosa Creek, one of the vestigial, natural drainage systems for the region.
