One of the most important internet buildings in the country is a large warehouse structure in Miami, built in 2000, by Global Crossing. Known as the Network Access Point (NAP) of the Americas, the building is a major connection point with Latin America, connected to land and undersea fiber cables, and has three large telemetry domes on its roof. It is owned by Verizon.
