Gorton's of Gloucester, Massachusetts, is the largest national brand of frozen fish. It is a major provider of breaded whitefish to supermarkets and restaurants, including McDonald’s. Gorton’s is believed to be the inventor of frozen fishsticks. Though located at the port in Gloucester, the company now uses mostly Pacific Pollock, from Alaska.
