The Chandler Landfill is a former gravel pit in Palos Verdes that accepts inert waste such as broken concrete. One objective of these operations is to get the pits up to grade so they can be redeveloped. The other is to dispose of construction and demolition debris, which makes up over 20% of the waste stream.
