This cluster of several buildings in El Segundo’s aerospace district is just south of the city line into Manhattan Beach, and is known as Space Park Manhattan Beach. The buildings here include D1, which is a specialty foundry for microelectronics used for satellites and defense systems built by Northrop Grumman. Across the street is R6, a research building, and M5, a manufacturing facility, as well as a number of operations buildings for satellite and defense projects. West of these buildings are large manufacturing buildings that were part of Space Park’s secretive operations in the TRW days, which have since been turned into entertainment company sound stages. The main campus for Space Park is across Aviation Boulevard, just over the town line in Redondo Beach.
