Located south of the Montebello Field, the Santa Fe Springs Oil Field is still a major producer. Most of the surface of the Santa Fe Springs Oil Field has been developed into offices and warehouses, though an area in the middle is still open oil field, where around 160 wells produce 600,000 barrels a year. The Breitburn Company operates many of the wells, as this field is the company’s largest holding in the Los Angeles Basin.
