Carol Hummel, an artist from Ohio, made several site-specific pieces, documented as photographs, during her stay in Wendover in 2007, which she calls collectively the Wendover Works. The series utilized 300 colorful crocheted “cells” ranging in size from 12” to 36” in diameter, that were placed in different settings, so as to appear to ooze out of mountains and over buildings.
