Dan Torop, a writer and photographer from New York, made the first of a few visits to Wendover in late May 2011. There, he researched and revisited Mark Twain’s travels and writings about the region. His work, Alkali Desert, was displayed in CLUI Wendover Exhibit Hall 1 in 2012.
