David Clayton and Stephanie Koenig, artists from Syracuse, New York, were residents at Southbase in 2006. They produced a number of miniatures and sculptures while there, including a model of the telephone pole at Southbase, with drooping, cut wires, not connected to anything–a monument of disconnection, abandonment, and isolation.
