Multi-disciplinary artist and writer Jan Estep was a resident in Wendover in April 2009. Her time was spent researching, photographing, and writing about the area for a map/text/photo project about the 54-mile backcountry Silver Island Mountain Byway, a BLM-managed route north of town. She produced a printed map and guide leaflet which is distributed by the CLUI and available to the public.
