John Hopkins made his first of a series of visits to CLUI Wendover in April 2010. He is an itinerant media artist, cultural theorist, and geophysical engineer, who is conducting doctoral research at the Centre for Media Arts Innovation at the University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. John Hopkins established the neoscenes.net website in 1994, which houses much of his work since the early days of the web. In Wendover, he worked on a number of projects, such as several accelerated-time videos, continuing his locative sound projects with aporee.net, and conducting a conceptual and physical cleansing and re-ordering of the entire physical plant.
