Mikael Lindahl, an artist from Stockholm, Sweden was in residence in Wendover in the fall of 2011. Mikael is interested in the ways in which humans try to understand and interpret natural phenomenas, and suggests nature films are the ultimate manifestation of human’s projections on the “natural” world. While in Wendover he worked on a nature film about the fictional creature Mulldjuret (Arengus Cephalopoda), and made preparations for the creation of a new landscape creature, to be installed in a remote valley on his next visit.
