Sarah Luria is an Associate Professor of English at College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts. During her 2013 residency she worked on a chapter for The Art of Surveying, a book project that revisits the places where writers or photographers recorded. While in Wendover she focused on the Great Basin sites that Timothy H O'Sullivan photographed in the King survey of the 40th parallel, considering what his photographs do to the landscape they portray.
