This underground limestone mine, north of Branson, Missouri, started in the 1960s, extracting dolomite for local road construction. It continues to operate as the Table Rock Asphalt Company, though some of the caverns have been turned into storage and commercial space. In 1994 Branson Underground opened to store business records, art, and other items. In 2003, the business changed its name to Ozark Mountain Underground, and focused on business record and media storage. It is now known as Mountain Complex, and has 250,000 square feet of finished space, with 17 foot tall ceilings. As much as six million more square feet with 34 foot ceilings remains undeveloped.
