Receiving Station T in Woodland Hills opened in 1965, between an aerospace plant and Pierce College. It provided relief for Receiving Station J, and gets its power via a buried 230,000 volt cable from Receiving Station U, located just two miles east. Receiving Station T cost around $2 million when it was made, typical of the receiving stations built during the mid-1960s, when the DWP was greatly expanding and upgrading its system.
