Gate 70 is the gate to the road that heads around the west end of the runways, to the old munitions area called Southbase. The road then continues due south for nearly 20 miles, following the fence line that marks the western edge of the Wendover Bombing Range, and the state line between Nevada and Utah. This gate is controlled partially by the Air Force, which has facilities along the state line road.
