Inside the remaining active military area at the east end of the airbase are radar and telemetry antennas, which are associated with aircrew test and training operations in the skies above this area. This is the western edge of a restricted military airspace that is part of the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR), operated by Hill Air Force Base, north of Salt Lake City. The UTTR is the largest restricted ground and airspace complex in the country, with over 3 million acres of land and 12 million acres of airspace. What was known as the Wendover Bombing Range in World War II is now part of the UTTR.
